Brynley's Preschool picnic!

Brynley's Preschool Picnic

It's hard to believe that Brynley's first year of preschool is already over! She absolutely loves school! Her teachers (Mrs. Volz and Ms. Missy) are just the best, all 4 of our girls have attended this particular montessori preschool. They tell me that we hold the record for the most siblings from one family to attend there. :)

Puddle Prance (not Riverdance)

Bridget felt inspired by the music at Silverwood- here's her impromtu dance:

Sometimes it's just hard to hold your feet still! (or your bum for that matter!)

Do we look mean or what??

At our soccer practice today, I finally remembered to bring in my camera. We had a great time! This is only about half of the girls on our team- I'll post another pic when we get everyone! You'll notice how bulky our muscles are looking and how mean our faces are.....well at least most of us. Parri and Melinda just may not have it in them to be mean! j/k... Our first game is next Thursday--just over a week away! I hope we survive....

Carnival Skittles???

Have you seen these? We came across these "limited edition" skittles at Silverwood! In case you can't read the flavors, they are:

  • cotton candy

  • red licorice

  • green slushy

  • candy apple

  • bubble gum

They were all actually really good, keep your eye out for them! :)

Silverwood on Memorial Day!

If any of you haven't been yet, Silverwood Theme Park in Coeur D'Alene Idaho is a great place! We spent the weekend at our cabin on Lake Coeur D'Alene and despite the flooding that has been going on there, it was still beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Except for the part where we got a flat tire and had to call AAA! Lucky for us the flat didn't occur until we arrived safely at the cabin and we found it the next morning. Tom and Dad went golfing at Circling Raven and had a great time. Neither was thrown from the golf cart (despite their best efforts) and they lost enough balls that they said they couldn't count them! So, apparently Tiger Woods is still safe! We saw Indiana Jones and were thoroughly disappointed :( I mean c'mon......ALIENS?????!! Anyhow, here are some of the pics from Silverwood!

93 degrees baby!

Swimming, BBQ and go karts were the fare of the day on Friday and Saturday-- according to the news, it has never hit over 90 degrees in May here before! Well, we deserve it because this summer has been awfully slooooooow coming. Jack and Grant were kind enough to let the girls try out their new go karts (after a few crashes they learned the dynamics of gas vs. brake pedal and were all grinning ear to ear--the only exception being Baylee, she accidentally burned her arm on the engine :( Hence why there's no pic of Baylee on the go kart ) We immediately took her to Paije's Burn Care Center and we got her all fixed up. Thankfully Grandma was all prepared with her trusty first aid kit--preparedness really does pay! Good thing she's a tough girl! It was a doozey!

Saturday morning before swimming, Tom took the girls on a daddy/daughter date to see the new Narnia movie---what a great dad! They had a wonderful time and didn't even end up with tummy aches from popcorn and candy!

Baylee learned to do a handstand in the water and Bridget learned to dive! Big news!

Here's Baylee's handstand: I don't know why, but it inserted at the TOP of the page--maybe someday I'll get this down! Have a great week everyone!

Bree had her 3rd track meet this week and we were lucky enough to have Sandi and Evan (Tom's parents) here for the affair. Naturally we waived the inital membership fee since they are family and all! :)

What does your name say about you?

What Paije Means

You are influential and persuasive. You tend to have a lot of power over people.

Generally, you use your powers for good. You excel at solving other people's problems.

Occasionally, you do get a little selfish and persuade people to do things that are only in your interest.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.

You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries.

You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

Thanks for the link Bonnie! This was surprisingly accurate!:)

Bree's Pool Par..Tay!

All Because 2 People Fell in Love....

Who would've thought that a blind date at Ricks' College would amount to all this?????
14 years go by pretty fast! It's really hard to believe the blessings that have come into our lives since the day we were married. I can't imagine a more perfect someone to share my life with! We make a darn good team. It may really be true that opposites attract :) We celebrated by going to our very favorite restaurant...Stanley and Seafort's! I was going to include pictures of our dinners, but I didn't want any of you out there drooling on your computers! Needless to say, it was as wonderful as ever! I love you honey.. here's to the next 14 thousand yrs together!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mom, I love you the pinkest

You're as sweet as a watermelon on a bright summer day,

And you blossom a tree that is bare

You're a heart expanding it's love

An apple that's fully grown

You are a fish swimming gracefully in an ocean

The buzz of a bee

The smell of a bright tulip

The blush of a child

Mom, I love you the pinkest.

Frog boots make me smile!

Ok, if this pic doesn't make you smile, there is seriously something wrong with you! These particular boots happen to belong to a Mr. Payton Frandsen. This was taken at Easter and I came across it today! We could use some frog boots around here, the flu has made a comeback! AAGH! Brynley and I had it last week and Bridget was home today with it and now Tom isn't feeling real great. Wish us luck!
We are excited for our visitors this weekend. Tom's parents are coming up on Friday and staying until thurs. Technically they will be up for the birth of Hilary's (Tom's sister) baby, but we'll steal a little of their time, I'm sure. Mother's Day is Sunday, Bree's birthday is Monday and our 14th Anniversary is on tues! Bree is celebrating on Saturday with a trip to the Seattle Premium Outlets with her friends and Tom and I haven't decided how we are celebrating our anniversary yet! If you have any ideas, feel free to post them! So, good luck to Hilary with the upcoming birth of their baby, can't wait!! Maybe I'll find some frog boots for a baby gift????!
