Who says 33 is too old to sled???
Parri thought it was a great idea for her and I to try out the big hill... you'll notice that SHE is the one who goes flying off her sled! :)
You can't hear it on the video very well, but for some reason I kept yelling all the way down the hill ..."WE CAN'T STOP" over and over again. Adrenaline does funny things to some people :)
Logan's Baptism...
We were all so excited for Logan to be baptized on Friday night and grateful the weather cooperated! John did a good job and required only 1 try! Congratulations Logan!

Black Friday...
First of all, let me say that we had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Lots of family, fun and food. Tom was happy to be able to watch some football and get a good nap. After the meal, all the girls went thru all the ads for the sales the next morning and made our plan. We planned to meet at Parri's house at 4:45 (yes, that's AM) however, as I could have guessed, I woke up almost every hour that night, and finally gave up at 3 am and showered and left. Called Parri and told her I'd be there earlier and we were off. Kohl's had a ridiculous line by 4:30 and we pretty much gave up there. Got exactly what we wanted at Best Buy and got in and out quickly-- thanks to our "divide and conquer" plan. The longest line we waited in was at Toys R Us, but it was nice to have some company while we waited. We saw quite a few people we know that morning. I know that some of you out there would rather put hot pokers in your eye than to go shopping on Black Friday, but there is something in me that loves the hunt and getting a great deal...it's exhilerating! After shopping I took Bree to see Twilight, along with Lauren (sis in law), Mom and Jenni (cousin). Bree really enjoyed it, let's leave it at that. :) She has been busy finishing the next book in the series since then. Saturday I spent the day with Baylee in Tacoma getting nearly the rest of the Christmas shopping done. We had a lot of fun together. I am almost completely done with my Christmas shopping- I need only 2 more gifts for people and already know what I'm getting (that's most of the battle) and stocking stuffers. Yah! I think this may be the earliest that I've ever been totally done. We are looking forward to Family Night on Monday, that's when we set up our Christmas tree. Fall is here...
I haven't been able to help myself, the foliage this time of year is incredible. The sun has been out and the weather has been dry but chilly. This tree is my favorite in our backyard- the pics really don't do it justice (maybe it's the camera or maybe it's the photographer!)

Our FIRST soccer win...
I can't believe that I almost forgot to post our first soccer win!!!! Yes Sliders' fans, it's true, the day has finally arrived, a win! 6-3 to be exact! Nicole had a hat trick and Parri, Misty and I all had one goal. My lucky red socks finally came thru! My only question is: why are Parri and I the only ones that really look mean in our "mean" pic??? Something to think about.... I'm not sure it came off as "intimidating" as we were hoping! LOL--thanks for the pics Wendi!
Dinner at Stanley and Seafort's with Mom and Dad
Those of you who know me well, know that I try my best to stretch out my birthday every year. Sometimes it's a bday weekend and sometimes when I'm really on my "A" game it's a whole bday week! ;) Anyhow, my parents and Tom and I went to my very favorite restaurant on Friday night for dinner. Yes, I had the prime rib and Yes, I had the chocolate indulgence cake! Thanks Mom and Dad! No thanks bathroom scale!
Portland Trip with Mom and Brynley
Tuesday afternoon Mom and I and Brynley left for a quick trip to Portland. We had a great time. Aunt Elaine let us stay with her (despite her busy work schedule I might add, thanks Aunt Elaine) and we got to see a whole lot of family. Tuesday night we saw: Aunt Elaine, Allyson, Uncle John, Aunt Marza, and Dallin and ate at Gustav's a German restaurant with swiss cheese fondue---never had it before and loved it so much I went home with a stomach ache. Wednesday morning we saw: Aunt Karen, Lindsay, Katelyn- and then headed off for some shopping to Clackamas Towne Center. I LOVE that mall. After shopping we met some of my other cousins and visited Aunt Cheryl in her new place. She is battling cancer and I'm happy that she is happy and near some of her kids. After our visit there we met more cousins that I haven't seen for a while for dinner- it was incredible!! You may be asking "Paije, how many cousins do you have???" Well, the answer to that is, I believe, over 60 first cousins! Aren't I lucky? So, to dinner at a great mexican restaurant called La Carreta, which I am told is known for putting plenty of cheese on their dishes. I knew I'd be happy there! Dinner with Debbie, Mary, Clarissa, Jenni, Cyndi, Kyle, Daniel, Mom and Brynley was delicious and fun. We had quite a crowd there despite the last minute plans. I was so happy to see all of them and grateful they made time to see us. We came back pretty pooped, but my cousin Allyson was kind enough to let me try out her Wii--what a fun toy! I think I look like a real idiot while playing though. (no comments from the peanut gallery on that one) Thursday morning we got up, packed and headed home. Couldn't have asked for better!

Bree's vball game...
Bree played so great yesterday, unfortunately they still lost, sad.
Anyhow, it was exciting that Sandi and Evan were able to stay for her game. Bree is at the far end of the court. They got new uniforms and she is number 1 now. (of course we already knew that! :)
