This is our friend, Nate Walker. He was baptized on Sunday. Nate works with Tom and John. But let's be honest, he has a special friend named Miss Amy Hansen who had quite a hand in the whole thing! It's so fun and exciting to see someone go through this process of learning and desiring to be baptized. Tom was able to perform the baptism after church despite the fact that the missionaries accidentally overflowed the baptismal font because they forgot to shut off the water! The cultural hall was very wet and the entire church was without water for a while until they could reset the pumps. Crazy but exciting day! Amy and her brother-in-law Lindsay were able to travel up for the baptism- we had a great visit as they stayed with us. We won't talk about the wonderful fast Sunday breakfast that was made for them! Thanks Parri and Mom for your help with the food after the baptism!
FHE last night was great, Baylee gave a lesson on Joseph Smith and the first vision and Tom made the cake for the treat. Honestly one of the best cakes we've ever had. We made chocolate frosting from scratch, there's nothing like it.
Friday night we went out with our friends the Grover's. Great people who are a lot of fun. We went to the Outback for dinner and happened to see Parri, John, Bo and Wendi there! Pretty funny- although not a huge surprise since it's one of Parri and John's favorites!
Saturday was of course working on the fence and preparing for our guests to come. One of our wonderful Home Teachers(Matthew Johnson) came and helped Tom work on the fence. He's in 8th grade and could almost keep up with Bree! She's quite a helper. Brynley even gets in on the action by holding the tape measure occasionally. This is big news when you're 3!
