Before and After

Baylee got her braces on today, here's the before and after pics.... isn't she cute?

Baylee's Bday Party

Baylee decided this year that she'd rather have a giant cookie instead of a bday cake, so being the Betty-Crocker-Mom that I am, I obliged! :) It actually turned out pretty cute and tasted even better! Baylee must really be growing up because she didn't want a big party, she just wanted to take a few friends to the movie and the mall. She also didn't want any gifts, just money to spend at the mall. Is my Baylee really that old already??? So, I took Baylee and her friends to the movie "Inkheart" and shopping at the mall. The movie was really good, I highly recommend it. She loved her birthday, which makes us happy!

Seeds are here!!!!!

For any of you who garden, you may be able to empathize with my sheer excitement about the arrival of my garden seeds. January/February every year I go thru my trusty seed catalog (several times actually) and decide which veggies I'll be growing for the year. I order my seeds from the best company for finding seeds that do well for our area. The company is Territorial Seed. Even their seed packages bring me joy, they are so old fashioned and cute looking. I know I am a dork, but I took pics of them so that you too, could feel the joy. Each year I challenge my Dad to a "Garden Challenge"- it must be said that I think I have won every year. :) Things may be a little tricky this year though, because during our crazy snow storm our greenhouse roof broke and caved in. This is a huge bummer because I need it to start all of my cute little seedlings. I think some ingenuity is going to have to rear it's head soon on behalf of my garden. I am also planning to order some flower seeds and plants soon. Annie's Annuals has some beautiful flowers I am hoping to order. The sun is actually out today which may be adding to my ferver, but alas, planting time is still a ways off. So, for now I must be content to dream of warm summer days full of a perfectly weeded garden bed producing the best veggies and flowers yet! Aaaaaah!

Birthday/Superbowl fiasco...

Yup, you read it right. We planned to have our family over to celebrate Baylee's bday with the family (her bday is actually tomorrow) and afterward watch the Superbowl...well for those who were interested in watching. We had finished presents and cake and were getting ready to turn on the game when we realized our cable was out!!! Bad timing WaveCable! Tom got on the phone to wave, but to no avail. Not good. Anyhow, we quickly packed up all the food and kids and headed over to Bo and Wendi's to watch the game. It all ended up well, but you could see the panic set in when the tv screen was all black:) Here's a couple of pics of Baylee and the fam...

Welcome Home Jarod!

This is our friend, Jarod Port-- he's just returned from serving a 2 year mission for our church to Chile. I was able to be at the airport with his family when he arrived, so great to have him home again! We missed you Jarod!
